Maroon dominate White in intersquad game (photo gallery)

TUMWATER, WA – Led by a solid performance in goal by Maurice Sanchez, the maroon team defeated the white team 8-3 in the Tumwater Pioneers’ intersquad game on Sunday night at Tumwater Indoor Sports.  Sanchez, who just wrapped up his junior season as the goalkeeper for The Evergreen State College, allowed just one goal through three periods before the white squad scored a pair of late game goals.

The maroon vs. white game wrapped up the preseason for the Pioneers and they will open the regular season on Saturday night in Bremerton against the Kitsap Pumas. First kick at Olympic Soccer and Sports Center is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
